Denise knows the feeling of walking onto a property and realizing, "this is it" — and helping others find that same moment is what drew her from teaching to real estate. A native of Louisiana and a devout LSU Tiger fan, she moved to Pagosa Springs in 1985 and spent the next 20 years teaching 7th grade before retiring in 2012. Her deep roots in the community — and a genuine love of the area — made real estate the obvious next chapter.

Her peers agree: she served on the Pagosa Springs Area Association of Realtors Board of Directors and was voted 2021 Realtor of the Year. But what clients notice first is her outgoing, make-friends-instantly personality — she treats every client like a friend, not a transaction.

When she's not working, you'll likely find her on horseback or a snowmobile, visiting the mountain cabin, or tending her garden and chickens. She and her husband have 2 grown children and 5 grandchildren who keep her plenty busy too.
